Qualicum Beach makes up for its small size with a homely feel and plenty of pleasant independent businesses.

Qualicum Beach is a great little town--relaxing and beautiful. It's especially good for people with young families to visit. At the beach and on the biking trails we've seen numerous eagles, seals, sea lions, otters, deer, pheasants, feral rabbits, snakes and frogs, to say nothing of the abundant smaller animals and organisms out at low tide. We once saw orcas from the beach.
